Four steps, and the third one is ours
Rankli publishes through the WordPress REST API with an application password. There is nothing running on your server, and the credential is revocable from your own dashboard at any time.
Connect WordPressCreate an application password
In WordPress, Users → Profile → Application Passwords. Name it Rankli and copy the password, spaces included. It is a separate credential from the account password and you revoke it from that same screen.
Paste it into Rankli
Integrations → New integration → WordPress. Your site URL, the WordPress username of that user, and the application password. A subdirectory install is fine: give the address WordPress actually runs at.
We verify it before anything is sent
Saving runs the connection test, and it answers two questions separately: whether the credentials authenticate, and whether that user may actually create a post. A credential that logs in but cannot publish is caught here.
Choose draft or live
Publish puts each article live at its scheduled time. Draft puts it in your WordPress drafts for review. Set it per connection and change it whenever you like.
A post, finished

Images are uploaded, not hotlinked. Every image is copied into your own media library before the post is created, so the post keeps working whatever happens elsewhere.

The rules are enforced in code on every article, and the verdict is written on the article itself, so a review is a scorecard rather than a full read.
- No invented specifics. An unsourced percentage, an academic-style citation, a dated study, a quote attributed to a person: each is a hard failure.
- Subject coverage. A draft that covers the topic without covering your subject is refused rather than scheduled.
- 1,500 to 3,000 words, with every section measured, so no heading arrives with two sentences under it.
- Your banned phrases. A list you set, enforced across the title, the meta description and the body.

Do I have to install a plugin?
No. Rankli publishes through the WordPress REST API with an application password, so nothing runs on your server and you revoke access from your own dashboard. If you would rather not create the user by hand, the Rankli plugin creates the user and the password for you and checks the REST API is reachable.
Will articles go live without me seeing them?
Only if you choose that. Publish mode is set per connection: draft puts every article into your WordPress drafts for review, publish puts it live at its scheduled time. Most people start on draft, read a month of writing, then switch it to publish and stop reading it.
What happens to the images?
They are uploaded into your own media library first and then referenced, and the hero becomes the featured image. Nothing on your site depends on our storage staying up, which is the difference between an article you own and an article you rent.
Does it work with Yoast or Rank Math?
Yes. The meta description is written to the post excerpt and to the Yoast or Rank Math meta description field when one is present, so the snippet Google shows is the one the article was written for.
What if a publish fails?
The failure is recorded on the article with the response WordPress returned, so you fix the cause rather than guess at it. Retries are idempotent: they update the post that already exists rather than creating a second one.
