Getting started with Rankli

Seven steps, from adding your site to seeing what moved. You set up the first three before your trial, and they cost nothing. Starting the free trial is what runs your first AI analysis.

In short#

Add your site, pick your questions and connect your blog. Then start the free trial, which runs your analysis: you see who AI recommends instead of you, and for which questions. Articles aimed at those questions publish on your calendar, and the question behind each one is asked again at day 7 and 14 to show what moved.

Beside these steps sit the fixes that help AI read your site (one click each, or applied for you on Scale and Agency) and your own Search Console clicks, shown beside the answers once you connect it.

Updated

Add your site#

Type your domain. If you came from the free AI check or the site analysis, it is already filled in.

Rankli reads your site: what you sell, who buys it, how you write and the platform it runs on. You get a short summary to check. Correct anything it got wrong, and keep, change or add the competitors it suggests.

Pick your questions#

Rankli drafts the questions your customers ask AI, written from your site, your products and your competitors: up to 50 of them. Untick the ones you do not want, edit the wording, or add your own.

The questions you save are the ones Rankli asks, word for word, and it never rewrites them. On Scale and Agency, more are added once your first month is paid, up to 150 on Scale and 400 on Agency.

Nothing is asked until your free trial starts.

Connect your blog#

Connect WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or 7 more, and Rankli publishes each article for you. Every connection is checked before it is saved: that the login works, and that it is allowed to create posts. You choose whether articles arrive as drafts or go live.

Setup guides: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Framer, a Next.js blog and the webhook. You can also start the trial first and connect your blog after.

Start the free trial, which runs your analysis#

Pick a plan and add a card. The button reads “Start free trial and run my analysis”, because starting the trial is what runs your first analysis: Rankli asks your questions of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini and reads every answer.

7 days free on every plan. A card starts it; on day 8 it becomes your paid plan unless you cancel, which is one click in the app. Cancel during the trial and nothing is charged.

On every plan, the trial’s round is Growth size: up to 50 questions on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, asked once. Weekly rounds at your plan’s full size start with your first paid month, when Scale and Agency add Perplexity.

See who AI recommends instead#

Checkout brings you straight back to your results, filling in as the answers arrive. You see how often AI named you, on each assistant, and who it named instead.

The questions you’re losing come first: the ones where AI recommends someone else. Businesses AI names that you are not watching are listed too, each with a button to start tracking them. So is what stops AI reading your site, with a fix for each.

Articles publish on your calendar#

Rankli plans a month of articles, starting with the questions you’re losing: 30 on Growth, 60 on Scale and 120 on Agency. The first ones are written as soon as your trial starts. The rest are written and published on the days your calendar sets, and you can move or skip any of them before it is written.

Every draft passes fifteen checks before it publishes. Eleven of them can stop a draft, including the one that refuses invented statistics. Run the same checks on any draft.

Asked again at day 7 and 14#

7 and 14 days after each article goes live, Rankli asks its question again, 3 times on each assistant your plan tracks. The article shows before and after: how often AI named you, recommended you and cited the page.

Your whole list of questions is asked again every week, so you see a trend rather than one answer. On Scale and Agency, Rankli also compares questions it worked on with ones it left alone. How Rankli measures.
