As of Oct 2026, these are the free tools that answer “does AI mention my business?”, each described from its own page. They work three ways: asking an assistant live, estimating from your site, or auditing whether AI can read it. Rankli’s asks ChatGPT real buyer questions with web search on.
Rankli
Asks ChatGPT 3 buyer questions live, with web search on, and shows whether each answer named you, who it named instead and the sites it read. When ChatGPT is unavailable, Claude answers and the report says so. Free with no signup; an answer to the same question is reused for up to 7 days and dated.
Best for: Seeing what ChatGPT answers today when a stranger asks for a business like yours.
HubSpot AI Search Grader
Its page says it asks GPT-5.4 mini, Perplexity and Gemini how they characterize your brand based on their training data, from your company name, location, industry and product. Free with no account; a form unlocks the full report, a score out of 100 across sentiment, presence, recognition, share of voice and competition.
Best for: A one-time read on how three models describe your brand, with sentiment and share of voice.
SEOcrawl AI Visibility Checker
Covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. A model reads your homepage and estimates how your brand surfaces in AI answers; their FAQ calls the score an estimate rather than a live measurement. No sign-up, up to 3 new reports a day, with a competitor breakdown, suggested content changes and a PDF.
Best for: A quick estimate across four assistants, with a list of content changes to make.
Pixelmojo AI Visibility Checker
A readiness audit of bot access, structured data, llms.txt and content accessibility, scored 0 to 100 with an A to F grade and an action roadmap. Their FAQ says it shows whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini can read your site, rather than whether they mention you. One free audit per email, verified with a 6-digit code.
Best for: Checking that AI crawlers can read and understand your site before asking what they say.
Texta AI visibility extension
A free Chrome extension that scores the page in your active tab from 0 to 100 for AI visibility signals, framed around answers from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Prompt tracking and citation analysis sit in the paid Texta platform.

HubSpot’s page says it asks three models how they characterize your brand from their training data. SEOcrawl’s page calls its score an estimate from a model reading your homepage. Pixelmojo and Texta score how readable your site is to AI.
What happens on Rankli’s checker when ChatGPT is unavailable?
The same questions go to Claude, with web search on, and the report says Claude answered in ChatGPT’s place, so you still leave with a real answer. If no assistant can take the check, the page says so and asks you to try again later.
Do I need to sign up or give an email?
Rankli’s checker and SEOcrawl’s take no signup. HubSpot’s page says no account is required, with a form that unlocks the full report. Pixelmojo asks for a one-time email verification and gives one free audit per email. Texta’s is a Chrome extension you install.
Why do two checkers give different results for the same business?
They measure different things. A live check shows what an assistant answered to particular questions that day, and answers change between asks. An estimate or a readiness audit scores your site’s signals. One tells you whether you are named; the other points at what to fix.
