Free check · asks ChatGPT live, or Claude if it is unavailable

AI visibility checker for SaaS

Software buyers ask ChatGPT for a shortlist before they start a trial. Enter your product and its category. We ask ChatGPT three shortlist questions and show whether your product made it, and who did.

The way a buyer types it: "scheduling software for clinics", "CRM for small sales teams" or "HR software for startups".

Asks ChatGPT (or Claude if ChatGPT is unavailable). Free, no account, about a minute. Add your website and a link to it counts too.

The questions the check will ask

  1. I need invoicing software for freelancers. Which tools belong on my shortlist?
  2. Which invoicing software for freelancers has the best free plan or free trial?
  3. What is the most affordable invoicing software for freelancers that is still worth using?

ChatGPT (or Claude if ChatGPT is unavailable) searches the web for each answer. An answer to the same question is shared for 7 days.

Shortlist questions software buyers ask AI

Software questions carry a team size, a budget, a tool to replace or one to connect to. Each detail changes which products ChatGPT puts on the list.

  • What is a cheaper alternative to Salesforce for a 10-person sales team?
  • Asana vs Monday.com: which is better for a marketing team of eight?
  • Which help desk software works with Shopify for under $50 a month?
  • What scheduling software do small physical therapy clinics use?
  • Which accounting software connects to Stripe for a subscription business?
  • What HR software do startups under 50 people use for payroll and time off?
  • Is Zendesk worth it for a two-person support team, or is there something simpler?
  • Which password manager is best for a company of 20 people?

The check asks 3. On Growth, Rankli asks 50 of yours every week on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

What ChatGPT reads before it puts software on a shortlist

For a software question, ChatGPT searches and reads product sites, comparison posts, review sites and forum threads. It lists the products those pages tie to the use case, the buyer and the budget in the question.

  • Prices in the page as it arrives

Buyers ask what it costs, and ChatGPT can only quote a price it can read. Plan names, prices and what each includes, in the page text your server sends, give it that. A price drawn by a script or shown in an image is missed.

  • Your own comparison and alternatives pages

"X vs Y" and "alternatives to Y" questions send its search to comparison pages. Publish one for each rival buyers name, with sourced facts on both sides. Then your product is among the pages it reads for that question.

  • G2, Capterra and "best tools" roundups

Software review sites such as G2 and Capterra, roundup posts and forum threads describe products too. When they name your product for the same use case your site does, ChatGPT has a consistent picture to repeat.

  • One line on who the product is for

"Invoicing for freelancers who bill by the hour" can be matched to a question. "The all-in-one platform for modern teams" cannot. Put the buyer, the job and the team size in the first lines of your homepage.

  • An integration page for each tool

Buyers ask whether a product works with Stripe, Slack or QuickBooks. A page for each integration, saying what syncs and how to set it up, answers that question in words ChatGPT can lift.

Rankli for software companies

What three shortlist questions tell a software company, and what they leave out

  • The presets ask with no team size, budget or current tool. Real buyers add those, and "for a team of 40 moving off HubSpot" can bring a different list.
  • It checks one category per run. Growth tracks 50 questions a week across best-for, alternatives, head-to-head and pricing questions, and counts how often you make the list.
  • It asks ChatGPT alone. Buyers also ask other assistants, and each can build a different shortlist.
  • It reads the answer for your product name and domain. If buyers know the product by a name that differs from the company, type the product name.

Frequently asked questions

Why does ChatGPT leave my software off its shortlist?

Its sources describe other products as a fit for that use case, in words it can quote: a price, a comparison, a review. Or it could not read your pages at all. Rankli shows each buyer question where rivals make the list and you do not, then writes the page that answers it.

Do comparison pages help a SaaS product get named?

They give ChatGPT’s search a page to read for "X vs Y" and "alternatives to Y" questions, which buyers ask while they build a shortlist. Rankli writes them with both prices sourced, and states each fact about a rival as what the rival’s own pages list.

Our pricing page loads with JavaScript. Can ChatGPT see our prices?

An AI visitor that reads the page before scripts run never sees a price drawn later. Put plan names and prices in the page text your server sends. Rankli’s free AI check reads your site that way and shows what it cannot see.

How often do ChatGPT’s software recommendations change?

Each answer is written fresh from what search finds, and the pages it finds change as rivals publish. Rankli asks every tracked question weekly, and again 7 and 14 days after each article goes live, so you see what moved the list.

Is the SaaS check free?

Free, with no signup and no email. The 7-day free trial asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini up to 50 buyer questions about your category and starts writing for the ones you are losing.

Find every question you’re losing

Rankli asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the questions your customers ask, every week. It writes a page for each one you lose, publishes it to your site and asks again to show what moved.
