Connect FramerCreate a server API key
In Framer, Site settings → General → API keys. Create a server key and copy it; Framer shows it once. It has to be a server key, and the connection test says so if a client key arrives instead.
Pick or create the collection
Choose Create a new collection and Rankli adds one with the right fields already in place, or map an existing collection onto our field names. Title must be a text field and Content must be rich text.
We verify it before anything is sent
Saving reads the collection schema as the connection test, so a field of the wrong type is rejected then rather than producing an empty item at the first article.
Design the page once
Items are created in the collection and Framer renders them through whatever template your collection page uses. Design that page once and every article after it fills the same layout.

The Rankli article id field is how an update finds its own item. Keep it and a rewrite edits the post that already ranks, rather than publishing a second one beside it.

The rules are enforced in code on every article, and the verdict is written on the article itself, so a review is a scorecard rather than a full read.

Do I have to build a collection first?
Only if you want to. On the connection form, choose Create a new collection and Rankli adds one with the right fields already in place. If you already have a blog collection, map your field names onto ours instead and keep the design you have.
Why does Rankli add a field to my collection?
The Rankli article id field is how an update finds the item it wrote before, so a rewrite edits the existing post rather than creating a duplicate. It is added for you, and it is the reason improvements land on the page that already ranks.
What lands in the item?
Title, slug, content as rich text, summary and image. Images are uploaded to Framer, so the item does not depend on our storage, and the whole thing is rendered by your own collection page template.
Do in-page links in the table of contents work on my live site?
Yes, when you give the connection your main blog address, for example /blog. Rankli uses it to build the anchors so the table of contents resolves on your published Framer site rather than on a preview URL.
Can I keep an eye on what is coming before it is written?
The month of keywords is on screen before a word is written, with the intent and the reason for each one, and you can edit it. That is the review step that costs you two minutes rather than thirty.
