How is the score calculated?
Eight measurements of the text you typed, 12.5 points each, half marks for a near miss. Every row on the report shows the measurement and the range it was compared against, so you can disagree with any of them. Run it twice and you get the same number.
Does a high score mean more clicks?
No, and any tool that says so is guessing. Click-through depends on the query, the results you are sitting next to and whether the reader knows your brand — none of which a text box can see. This measures the headline, not the market.
Why are there no numbers in the suggested headlines?
Because we do not know your article. "7 ways" is a promise about content that may not exist yet, and a headline that oversells its own piece costs more in bounce than it earns in clicks. Add the number yourself once the piece delivers it.
Is my headline stored?
No. It is analysed in the request and nothing about it is written down. We count that a request happened, for rate limiting, and that is all.
